So that whole deal in Decatur/Dekalb for a training facility and Atlanta United HQ fell through because it was going to be real expensive to develop (and some people weren't happy about it).
But ATLUTD kept some property up off Franklin Road in Marietta (right near the Big Chicken) just in case it didn't and is moving forward with that plan.
Some people still aren't happy, but you can't really blame them when rich people are getting tax breaks.
But c'mon, which would you rather have? Undeveloped, snakebitten projects or some revitalization that should only help the community?
Maybe not the traffic though.
